I actually don't think songfic is that bad. Maybe other writers look back on writing them and cringe, but I actually think they were some of my best works.

Shallon Lester (celeb gossip vlogger) says some pretty awful, unsubstantiated things about celebs, and her arm-chair psychologizing is insensitive at best and sometimes downright cruel.

The secret is that I still enjoy watching some of her videos, and sometimes I find myself almost liking her. Some of the stuff she says is shit I think in my head but wouldn’t say out loud. (Not all of it, mind you; she also says some awful stuff I totally disagree with.)

I know a lot of the coming of age/teen shows from when I was growing up were criticised for moralising and being anti-drug/pre-marital sex/etc. propaganda but I prefer those to shows like Skins and Euphoria that glorify and normalise unhealthy behaviour.

I think The Prince of Egypt is good enough to be enjoyed by many other faiths and belief systems, but I might be prejudiced because I am Christian.

I think An Extremely Goofy Movie was better than the original Goofy movi, definitely more quotable. This is apparently sacrilege.

Fandom: Star Wars Rebels. Spoilers for the final season.

I still can't make sense of Hera having Kanan's child. When did this happen?! Yes, I understand that people have kids out of wedlock all the time. Yes, I get that people can have sex before they are ready to say "I love you" to each other. But the show made a big issue out of them even kissing together for so long they were constantly being blue-balled, plus they were both away on separate missions from the base for a good long while. And if you follow the timeline for season four there was almost no time for them to have a moment together, WHEN THE FUCK DID WAS HER CHILD CONCEIVED. I'm so tired of people smiling condescendingly and looking at me like I've never heard of a single parent before. I'M TALKING ABOUT NARRATIVE CONTINUITY DAMN IT. Bonus Secret: I'm not a huge fan of Dave Filoni's writing in general and I'm not really looking forward to any new shows he has creative control over.

I watched a She-Ra Catra fan video set to the song "I'll Be Good" by Jaymes Young and I just started sobbing. I never realized how much I related to Catra's struggles with overcoming a dysfunctional childhood until that moment. Secret because it's just a random fan video and a cartoon.

I just got into Carole and Tuesday. I love it so much and I get so many feels whenever they sing, but I feel like I got into it too late because I can't find anybody to talk about it with.

I think more cringey than horse-girls are lion-girls who think Simbaa and Kovu are hot and make recolored Lion King OC's. Secret because, they're not harming anyone, I just get second hand embarrassment from it.

I'm officially done with cop shows. I can't justify watching shows that paint cops as heroes anymore and whitewash the genuine culture issues that lead to the things we see in the news. Cop shows give the same lie cops give, that these are outliers. Or give us "heroes" like Voight on Chicago PD that act in ways that real cops use to hurt and kill real people.

I wish there was a website where you could post a picture of yourself and commenters would help you by telling you your perfect cosplay character fit. It's hard to be objective enough to know what character you actually look like to do a decent cosplay.

A small part of me thinks Glenn Howerton wasn't really joking and tried to come out as bisexual when he did that interview with Conan O'Brien back in 2011.

Out of all the shows in the world the fact that CQL/The Untamed has genuine shipping discourse is both boggling and utterly hilarious to me.

The main character literally murders hundreds of people out of revenge by using reanimated corpses of the dead...

But sure, people shipping the villains with other characters is B-A-D.

I love Karen Gillan but I didn't like Amy because of her job as a kiss-o-gram. Because, eww, germs. Also it's not a real life job. I prefered other Doctor's companions. Even Aldrick is better. He's so annoying that it's funny.

I haaaaatttteeee when characters buy houses for their romantic interest without telling them. either they are preventing their partner from gaining equity in where they live because they're not on the deed, which means that to add them they have pay thousands more dollars or that they haven't actually bought the house and can still lose it depending on the contract and credit check on the partner or they could not have possibly have kept the house buying a secret.

the only time i have ever liked it was Schitt's Creek when David "bought" Patrick his dream home and Patrick immediately cottoned on that David hadn't really don't any of the important bits which was mostly in character for David.

I don't read much published fiction anymore because Ao3 has spoiled me with tags. Now I have to read spoiler reviews to see if I am actually interested in a story. or even other media like movies!

I was a voracious reader as a child and nothing published had easily accessible reviews let alone tags so I don't know why I'm so reluctant to read non-spoiled stuff now. it feels like I'm being too safe

I don't understand supernatural fic where Knight of Hell Dean makes Sam his blood slave. While canon suggests that the demon blood was addictive, he was pretty powerful and pretty independent once he had a couple good drinks. it's not like these fics have Dean edging Sam with blood, and I recognize that it is probably just kink, but the fact that I can find NO fic that even deals with the possibility of Sam just overpowering Knight Dean makes me wonder if people have ever considered it. Not even authors who love Boyking Sam have explored it! I just don't get why this wouldn't be more of a concern, even if you don't agree that Boyking Sam trumps Knight of Hell Dean.
