I have zero sympathy for creators who defend their weak writing by saying they didn't know they'd get X number of seasons or they were just making it up as they went. If you can't write a basic plot outline why are you a writer? and better question: how the fuck did you get funding to make this flaming pile of garbage?

If you are so determined to suck at your job, let someone else have it.

Ah I have sympathy. It's such an unstable job, it must be heard to cling on to artistic integrity in the face of another year's regular paycheck.

I get mad at writers who try to defend their shit writing by saying they changed their minds about something but by the next episode are insisting that they have a grand unified theory of everything about the show and were always planning whatever their newest obvious asspull was. Especially when multiple actors confirmed that they were regularly blindsided by said asspulls and stuff got changed and forgotten constantly.

I finally watched the Untamed and wow just wow. Yes there was some cheese and yet I still came away feeling like I'd witnessed one of the world's great love stories. Like witnessing the earth falling in love with the sky. (Believe me i'm face palming myself over that sentiment. )

I'm an embittered 50 year old cynic and I thought this part of me was dead. There’s no way I could ever tell anyone that this show made me feel like this!

I'm right there with you, nonny. Also a bitter old cynic, don't usually enjoy romances in any medium. It was a flawed and cheesy show but I was still swept away. <3

I've been re-watching 'Rome' recently and am a little bitter that this got cancelled and had to wrap up quickly.

I know it had a lot of violence/abuse, which isn't great. But I admire the efforts to pay attention to historical detail with the city of Rome itself.

The violence and abuse felt relevant to historical facts though, not exploitative like in Got. I wish it hadn’t been cancelled too nonny. Have you seen I, Claudius?

Most other fans seem to want Hordak to go back to blue hair, red eyes and black makeup after the end of She-Ra. I don't agree with that. I'd love to see him picking something else as he goes forward in life and leave the past while working to make up for what he's done.

(Kamen Rider Den-O) I judge myself for shipping Momotaros/Ryotaro

(fruits basket) I have never been able to accept Akito redemption and hate the all the character kinda forgive her. A lot of it is because of how Akito remind me so much of my grandmother, that because a horrible thing happened to her when she was a child, all of my family accept the abusive and manipulative way she treats her children and grandchildren as a justifiable thing that we have to just live with

I think the difference is that Akito does actually work on changing and leaves behind her manipulative ways with her mother.

I liked Resident Evil 7 overall but I don’t get when people praise the game for a more realistic plot and protagonist. I’m sorry but did you see the things that Ethan survived and did in that game? He is not an average Joe, and Chris in the DLC literally put his hand in liquid nitrogen.

The Resident Evil series has always been b-movie schlock. It's based in reality, but they take a lot of liberties with it (especially with science). There's no way anyone could survive 90% of what the cast goes through.

Capcom trying to go the "realistic" route is just so silly when you think about the fact that this is a series that has literal tentacle monsters, a hentai virus, and a protagonist who punches boulders, among many other things.

I hate that flat chested female characters basically aren't a thing except in loli shit

Are you talking specifically about comics, cartoons, and anime?

Because I feel like there's a lot of small breasted female characters in Western live action. Maybe not a ton of completely flat characters, but quite a few who are small enough that a derisive bully would probably call them "flat."

Atalante from Fate is flat chested and an adult woman.

Lolis are nice though.

I can think of a couple; I mean, they have breasts but they can probably get away with not wearing bras if they wanted, the lucky sods. (Okay I mostly like my boobs but jogging and jumping jacks and sagging and boob sweat=blech.) Most characters played by Kiera Knightley, for one.

There are lots of flat-chested female characters who aren't little girls. But in current fandom, an anime character being flat chested is inherently labeled a loli because she's flat-chested, even if she's an adult.

I can´t stand bungou stray dogs Dazai but I like bungou to alchemist Dazai. I worry now that bungou to alchemist is getting a anime, the bungou stray dogs fandom is going to make bungou to alchemist Dazai more like bungou stray dogs Dazai

I fucking love BSD Dazai. Not saying you aren't entitled to your own contrary opinion but I think he's great. I love my shady af, problematic little man.

All the new Digimon material (tri, Kizuna, the new anime) has made me hate Taichi and Yamato. They were always important in the original series but the rest of the cast still got their own storylines and characterization. All the new stuff just seems to have turned the series into The Taichi and Yamato Show, even if it doesn't make sense or causes a plothole (lookin' at you, Kizuna).

Also the series has tried to milk sadness out of Taichi and Agumon having to separate so many times that I can't get emotionally invested in it anymore no matter how hard they push it. Taichi saying goodbye to Agumon has all the emotional heft of someone dying in Dragonball Z at this point.

I'm just pretending all new Digimon stuff doesn't exist and isn't canon. They're cashing in on nostalgia and nothing more, no need to give a hollow effort any credit.

I'm avoiding the Problematic Vivès Controversy and justifying my continued love of Last Man by clinging to the fact that I hate the guy as a persona and dislike the original comics; divorcing the prequel cartoon from that and like mainly what different creators poured into it to make it work on its own.

I'm not the usual secret maker anon, but I'm in the mood and they might not see this thread.
