Basically it's internet slacktivists trying to put a woke political spin on their OTT hatred for what's a really a totally standard enemies-to-lovers ship.

It's so clear that the politics are just pasted onto plain old-fashioned ship hate, which is why anti-Reylos are so much more annoying than people who just don't like a ship and so avoid it.

And I don't even ship it. I don't find either of the characters that compelling. But WOW am I put off by people who think hating Reylo is a personality - or a meaningful political stance.
