I finally started reading some Ilona Andrews after they've been on my radar for a few years, and shit is wild. Werewolves...from space?! Werewolves from space.

Whatcha reading, f!s?

I started reading America's Original Sin by Jim Wallis yesterday. I felt the need to read something productive. I was reading Priory of the Orange Tree, and I'll get back to it eventually.

I'm all about the escapism right now, but I'll bookmark that for when I'm in a better mental space.

I totally get the escapism thing. I get in that space too. I was in that space with Corona. But I'm fired up right now. Getting some escapism with watching Doctor Who. But during the day I have the time to be in this since I'm only working part time.

I just got some books in the mail today I ordered a couple weeks ago, haven't started em yet, but it's Velocity Weapon by Megan O'Keefe and Finder by Suzanne Palmer. They're supposed to be some kinda super escapist space opera type things, hopefully they'll be a nice distraction.

I read that a long time ago and I loved it. Its sequel, The Te of Piglet, isn't anywhere near as good though.

Just finished David Sedaris' Me Talk Pretty Some Day, and started on a Dashiel Hammett collection (because I'm thinking of doing a noir treatment on a WIP).

I seem to be on a huuuge horror kick! Latest I read was Growing Things by Paul Tremblay and Red Dragon by Thomas Harris. Am reading Gerald's Game now and boy does Stephen King pale in comparison to the other two authors.

There were vampires from space too and there's a vampire-human-werewolf love triangle but the characters are like "This is just like in Earth's literature." It's so fucking cheesy but I got the next book in the series because there's a magic house and I'm into that.

sidenote I say it's cheesy but that's pretty much exactly what my brain needs right now
