I think you should get your fic proof read if at all possible but...

I secretly find the 'NO PROOFREADING WE DIE LIKE MEN' tag amusing XD

I kinda like that tag, too :D. I just keep getting this image of somebody shouting it while pumping their fist in the air defiantly...only to fall over afterward :p.

It definitely makes me think of fic writers posing triumphantly on the battlefield - the battlefield of what, I don't know - but it would be like that Liberty Leading the People painting, complete with boobs out and that pantsless guy.

I STILL chuckle when I see that tag. I really don't know why.

Huh, I've never seen that tag in particular, but I actually have the same reaction to the 'die like men' tags. I find it so much fun and I have no idea why people take so much offence to it.

I've never heard of that before but I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled for it now, lol.

Same, it's funny. That being said I'm surprised the amount of people who just assume some writers choose not to have beta readers and proofreaders instead of the obvious "they just don't have access to anyone to help them". For any number of reasons. Maybe they're new to writing and haven't bad enough connections for that? Maybe they just want to enjoy writing and not bother with the time consuming process of working with a team to edit it? IDK.

That being said...there's always two types of people that use this tag. People that obviously use the help of programs with spell and grammar checks (not perfect, it's a computer but still it's something) and check over things multiple times themselves (again, not as good as having another pair of eyes but if you're good/thorough enough it's the next best thing) and then...people who it looks like tapped things out on their phone and didn't have autocorrect on.
