Nah, she was was arrested for bribing someone to change her daughter's test scores and lying about her extracurriculars to get a college to accept her daughter. If she'd just bribed the college (i.e., paid to have a building named after her like the other rich people do), that would have been a perfectly acceptable and time-honored traditional way to get her dumb daughter into college.
