That's fair. If you can't emotionally connect to the characters because they aggravate you too much, you're not going to have any interest in waiting around for them to grow as people. Sucks when it's something people keep reccing to you though.

Same, OP. I've went "heh" at the show once or twice but mostly it's just loud and obnoxious.

I'm the same with It's Always Sunny. Those characters are fucking vile. Although, credit where it's due, the Health Inspector episode is actually very impressive.

I've seen all of Schitt's Creek but just could NOT with Always Sunny.

Same. I couldn't watch it for two minutes. My sympathy for self-absorbed rich fucks whining is at an all-time nadir.

I had the same problem, for me at least the whiny rich-character only works if they're one in an ensemble because the other characters tend to smooth out the annoyance I might have towards them, but in this case they were all whiny and spoiled and I had no patience to sit through god knows how many episodes of that shit before they started to improve.

You are me. I tried watching it, didn't enjoy it, then went to visit some friends where they raved about it and had us watch sooooo many episodes. It was the worst.

It finally clicked for me after a while, but I swear I had to start it three times, and it will never be a show that I love, because it took some of the characters way too long to grow up, and it really became weirdly over-the-top "nice" for something which started the way it started.

Haven't watched Schitt's Creek but I have this problem with a lot of entertainment. Please give me someone relatable or entertaining while the character development happens.
