It's been posted here, but folks around me have also noticed the bundle independently and are posting about it in chat/discord/slack rooms etc. If people are just finding out about it, most people's reactions range from "oh that's pretty cool I'll check it out" to "games look questionable but it's $5" to "passes my burrito money test, instant buy".

But then, there's this one dude that was like "hmm, you should check the games to see if it's really worth it". And then a day later privately to me, he was like "well, if you're buying the bundle, I want this one game from it, but I already spend $20 on another game recently and I don't want to buy this" (I told him I was considering; with his reaction, I never bothered following up). And THEN a day later, he messaged me AGAIN and was like "actually, I suggest you not buy that bundle".

OF COURSE the dude's white. I'm freaking Asian and very much side-eyeing him though. WTF is his reaction? Thank god we're not really friends, just kind of acquaintances from a work related mixer event.

Why would he tell you not to buy it? That's really fucking weird.

I will never understand people, I swear.

It really is so weird????? Like if this was $50, okay sure there's some argument room in there. Or if it's a pure donation and he mentions that he don't trust the target organization or whatever, okay. But it's FIVE DOLLARS and this guy has no real reason other than he thinks the games aren't worth the money. You HAD to triple message the group/me about this? AND you were even interested in one of the games enough to message me that second time? WTF?

And just yesterday I wondered if any racists might have bought it just because it's such a deal and 'not like my five bucks will make any difference'.
Guess I was too optimistic.

At least I do see people who are very unlikely to donate regularly buying the bundle. (Honestly, I'm one of them, my usual donations are to environmental causes because that's my top concern usually and I can't afford much more. Sorry?) But whether you donate or buy this bundle or not, going out an extra mile to tell other people not to is...something extra.
