To begin with I recommend his original Smeargle play through of Pokemon Crystal if you like Pokemon, the play through if Hamtaro: Ham Hams Unite! if you're into cute stuff or Pocket Mirror if you're into horror games.

He plays a ton of games of different genres. I found a lot of games to play myself thanks to him. He can get pretty salty at times, but he's self aware enough when it happens (and when it's his own fault) that it's pretty hilarious.

And the best thing, he doesn't plaster his face on the videos! That turns me off from so many YouTubers.

more game review than let's play but most of the time that's all i want:
AngryCentaurGaming (in depth spoiler-less reviews, one of the best imo)
ingeniousclown Gaming (more of a gaming concept reviewer)

horror themed let's plays:
ManlyBadassHero (chill voice, narrates everything)
MrKravin (it's really obvious whether he's having fun or legitimately scared which is great xD)

smm romhacks/mario maker: (yes this gets its own section)
Thabeast721 (i just enjoy watching his gameplay)

I quite like John Wolfe. When he gets scared it's genuine and not over the top loud. ( Looking at you, POiiSED.)

I watch him mostly for the horror games, because I tend to get too into the scares and I find his voice and attitude relaxing, but he plays a variety of genres and styles.

He doesn't have exaggerated reactions, he lets all cutscenes play fully and tries to not speak during them, reads texts, explains references, adds alternate endings and extra content...

I think he is some sort of teacher IRL so maybe that's where he gets it?

He does occasionally overdo it with the bad puns and he doesn't have the best sense of direction, but if he gets too lost and has to backtrack he'll cut that from the video.
