OP - You know, I'm not sure if The Boys had a built-in viewing audience the way I think The Tick had from its previous tv incarnations, even taking into account fans of the comic - but it definitely had the bigger actor names in Karl Urban and Simon Pegg (as much as I love Peter Serafinowicz and admire Jackie Earle Haley's chops, they are closer to "hey, it's that guy" for US tv shows).

So, sure, wider general appeal, and the gritty cynicism of the ad campaign might also reach a bigger audience - and I do think there was distancing from previous management. I get the move. BUT THE HEART HAS ITS REASONS OF WHICH REASON KNOWS NOTHING
