I actually have two questions:

1) Other writers who post fics part by part, do you often get completely writing fatigue after you've posted a part of your story?

2) 'Rutilant' as a word in the descriptive narrative: too obscure and it would throw you out of the story; or would it flow okay to you?

1) Yeah, kind of. Mostly I just get stuck because even though I know roughly what I want to have happen, I'm struggling to get there.

2) I had to look that up. It wouldn't bother me, but I love picking up new descriptive vocabulary. It'd help if the context at least hinted at its meaning, though.

1) I've never written a multi-parter before, normally I write longer one shots. It's definitely new to know I have to write in a straight line rather than having the freedom to chuck whole aspects of the story without anyone knowing lol.

2) First time I read it (in a fic) I had to look it up, but once I knew what I meant it just seemed like an excellent descriptive word. I managed to use it in a story but I'm worried it seems pretentious lol. I love picking up new descriptive vocabulary too. :)

1) No, the opposite. But usually I already have several more parts in the pipeline after I post one.
2) I'm here for all the 'rutilant's. The language people use in fanfic is fascinating to me.

1) I notice I am getting fatigue more these days after posting a part. It used to be I felt relieved and rejuvenated and ready to write the next chapter. Now I'm stuck on a damn epilogue that probably won't even be 3 pages long (well, okay, maybe 5-6) and it's the hardest thing ever, even though there's no reason it should be.

2) I'm an idiot with a shit vocabulary, but as with most words I don't know, I'd probably just look it up later, lol. Wouldn't throw me out of the story too much.

Firstly, thank you for the new vocab!

1) I think I loose steam after a while (not necessarily right after posting)but after writing quite a bit of the story -- as in I'll write chapter one, post it, maybe write about two more chapters, and then remain uninspired, even after posting. This happens every now and then. I'm not sure if this is the kind of posting you're talking about. I do try these days to write out a good portion of the fic before I begin posting because I know the boredom will hit.

2. It would flow well for me! Whenever I don't know a word, I either use context clues or just look it up. I love learning new words! If you're using it in dialogue, just be sure that's something the character would say -- how verbose and articulate are they? Do they have an extensive vocabulary to begin with? IF so, I'd say use it then too!
