NAYRT - I liked Tomb Raider (2018) a lot but at the same time, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to others. I thought that it was basically very bare-bones in terms of what it did with plot and setting and atmosphere and adventure-y tropes and I would have liked to see them do a lot more with the premise.

But I still liked it mostly because I thought Alicia Vikander was really phenomenal as an adventure heroine in it. I was really impressed with her and I thought it was worth watching just to see her do her thing. Also Walton Goggins was good as the villain but Walton Goggins is always watchable.

I agree that Lara herself was very impressive! I just wasn't very interested in what she was doing, even while thinking that the actress was great.
