For your example (and mentioned above) - if you grew up/end up where you have to minimize your time in the shower due to cost or you’re sharing with a lot of other people, then it makes some sense! Just get wet enough to lather at the start, then move the shower head or yourself until it’s warm enough to immerse fully.

For the question - Everyday, probably! But for things I’ve done something about, I’ve recently realized how amazing a dedicated spoon/spatula/whatever rest for cooking is. What? You mean I don’t have to awkwardly balance a dripping spatula on the side of the pan or perch it on a too-small handle while forgetting it’s not entirely heat resistant or use up paper towels or dishes wantonly or wander around clutching it?
