Groceries, cleaning, making myself another mask or two.

I might go for a covid test - finally - since I went and got my hair did last weekend. All customers and stylists were in masks and it felt safe, but it was the first time I'd done something like that since the pandemic started.

I had made myself a mask with ear elastic for the appointment since the other ones I'd made had fabric ties that go around the back of my head and that wouldn't work getting my hair cut and dyed! The only elastic I had, though, were hair ties and they started to hurt my ears by the end. I need to modify the pattern so the ties don't have to pull as tight.

My gutters need cleaning. I've done it before, but my ladder is too short to do it safely and I don't feel like doing the scary balancing act anymore. I'm trying to decide if I should buy a taller ladder or rent one. I have a tiny car, but I'm only a block from a Home Depot and could carry a ladder home. That location doesn't seem to have ladders for rent right now (don't know if they ever do). The rental ladders appear to be collapsible so maybe I can get one from another location and fit it in my car.

My sister is customizing my masks this weekend. I am pretty excited. Maybe buy one since you will need it next time you clean gutters anyways?

I was wondering for a sec why I would need to buy a mask to clean gutters... :)

I will probably buy one (although they aren't cheap!) because while it is my dream to cover my gutters with mesh to keep the leaves out, there is still utility in having a ladder that will let me reach the gutters, not to mention the tops of my awnings and the lower reaches of my roof (it's only a one-story house, thankfully).
