I went to get evaluated for workers’ comp today (fucked up my calf muscle while running for the phone at work yesterday because we’re doing curbside while understaffed, so everyone else was outside right then) which means I’ve done about five miles of limping so far today, and spent several hours in a hospital waiting room, breathing strange germs. The doctor: “so you don’t do a lot of heavy lifting at your job, do you?”

Me, thinking of the mountain of boxes we’ve moved and unpacked every day this month: “...”

Also public transit in the time of coronavirus, especially when a third of the population thinks it’s a hoax/only weak people are in danger/god will protect them/some other absolute bullshit, is not fun. I thought I lucked out and everyone on this bus would wear masks but the white dude proudly pulled his down under his chin. Thanks heaps, white dude. You’re not as bad as the teenagers on the trolley without masks, including the one who was hanging upside down from the handrail, but you still suck.

That doctor sounds like an idiot. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry you have to deal with public transportation and those idiot white dudes and teenagers and other people stupid enough to not wear masks or not wear them properly.
