it's like people took that disgust of loli and the sexualization of My Little Pony and went to 11 with it huh.

Question do these type of antis in fandoms in which minor characters have canon romances badger the authors? I think I'd have the tiniest bit of respect for their perspective if I didn't think it was all performative.

I can't speak for all antis in all fandoms, but one fandom that was particularly overrun by antis when it came out was Skam. Which had age gap romances. But most importantly had non-explicit sex scenes involving actors under 18 WHICH NO ONE EVER MENTIONED.

But write a couple of dark fic and you got doxxed. It was so bizarre to me

My favourite one is when characters are aged-up into adults and put into adult/sexual situations - which is apparently considered as a form of pedophilia to some of these people.
