Re: What does doxxing actually mean
(Anonymous) 2020-06-27 12:01 pm (UTC)(link)Not exactly sure where the cut-off is for something being doxxing or not, but I think it depends on people wanting or expecting a certain level of privacy or anonymity online, the type of info shared, the severity of effect the info has, and the person sharing it. But including someone’s contact info (social media profile, email, home/work addresses or phones, etc.) without consent even if it’s publicly available immediately shoots something into doxxing territory imo.
