There's a type of person who vocally dislikes every female character unless they're fat/old/plain and it really rubs me the wrong way. The goal should be to have more women instead of trying to remove the ones who are sexy.

Sure, sure. And when the balance of female characters is actually less than 80% Young Conventionally Attractive & Always Well-Dressed, that's a concern we can give time to. Until then, I'm gonna continue flying the flag of "Why are all these women wearing high heels to crime scenes?"

Petition for more fat/old/plain female characters IMO because I would love to see more of them!

Yeah, it actively pisses me off that fat, old, plain male character actors get a ton of work but the women don't.

Main characters, yes, but even character actors!

This wasn't even about what the women looked like, it was that they were dressed dumb. It's a real quick way to ruin immersion, depending on the setting. But good on you getting a dig in on the unattractive.

I am fat, old, and plain, and getting more so every day. If the ratio of women who were beautiful, young, and sexy to those like myself onscreen was even half of what it was in real life, and there were ever female main characters who were fat, old, and plain, maybe it wouldn’t piss me off so much.
