What is everyone doing?

We are going to watch fireworks from the backyard. We are also going to grill some chicken and make smores. Sunday I will be driving back home.

NGL I am not feeling very patriotic right now. But I do feel chill. So I'm probably gonna chill, maybe eat hot dogs, my wife wants to watch like...idk a video of fireworks? Lol idk. Probably play some video games.

Also right now I'm watching the coverage of the Mt. Rushmore bs and wow

Nothing much. I'm sure there will be neighbors doing fireworks so I might try to watch, but I'm honestly kind of indifferent to fireworks so IDK if I'll even bother.

Might do a couple work things, probably a lot of reading, maybe watching some TV. Also making mashed potatoes (no particular reason, I was just really craving them the other day and bought some potatoes when I was at the grocery).

My sister's neighborhood can't have fireworks but the next neighborhood over does a show that we should be able to see.

Mashed potatoes are always great to eat.

In Numenera news the plot has been re railed, for now!
I might do somw gardening, and the lamb is going to be getting more and more used to the great outdoors and other sheep.

I got Final Fantasy IX installed on my new laptop with Moguri Mod so I might play one of my favourite games, prettier than ever. I'll have to start again though because my save didn't transfer from my old laptop for some reason.

Might try and work out what I'll do with the first Sunshine Challenge prompt: red.

Absolutely nothing. I despise fireworks and have begun hating the 4th even more than usual because of all the MURICA shite going on all the time.

I'm staying inside out of the gross, humid weather.

My brothers are arriving Sunday to deliver some furniture my youngest brother is getting rid of, so it will be nice to see them and to get a shelf/drawer thing for the Monstrous Bebe's old room.

I'm with you on the fireworks. And I've been feeling particularly unpatriotic of late. My mother is going to grill hotdogs and hamburgers, so I'll go along with the typical 4th dinner on Monday. That will be the extent of my participation in the holiday.

I hate fireworks. People have been setting them off since late April here and they scare the hell out of my dog. I’ve never been a big patriotic person, but I’m especially not feeling the Fourth of July this year.

Catching up on sleep, hopefully, before Monday since the fireworks will go late I'm sure. Going to do some file sorting and get some stuff onto my new harddrive. We're grilling on Monday.

I've been watching Whose Line, but I also want to try an episode or two of Warrior Nun because it looks cool.

Do you have Monday off? Who all is grilling?

Might make fake hot dogs (roommate and I are vegetarians) with bell pepper and onion relish, and grilled corn on the cob with lime juice and parmesan and cilantro, and cherries jubilee, may sign up for a Disney+ trial to watch Hamilton, definitely not leaving the house tomorrow. I live too close to the main drag full of bars, and everyone's gonna be drunk and obnoxious. People have been setting off fireworks for weeks so the next couple of nights will be bad. Also any lingering patriotism I had went poof in 2016 and if I hear anyone playing that fucking awful "proud to be an American" song I might throw bottles and bricks at them.

What kind of fake hotdogs? Made out of what?

Eh, probably nothing much. I've been really lazy lately and not very motivated. My husband is making dinner and we'll watch Hamilton later this evening. Maybe I'll have a glass of wine. Tomorrow is mani-pedi day and I have a sample of a new mineral bath soak I'm going to use, but besides that, nothing else planned.

What yall eating for dinner? Looks like a lot of people are watching Hamilton.

I have a duck to roast this Sunday, and I really hope it works out! I've never roast a duck before.

I'm mostly just gonna be playing FFXIV. Tomorrow I have to go to my nephew's for... food, I guess. Mom and I will be eating outside, even if no one else does, because neither of us trust that side of the family. (My sister was all in a huff today because she had to put on a mask to get groceries. Like. Like we've been supposed to be doing SINCE MARCH.)

The central air has fucked up yet again for the third year in a row every time it gets hot and humid. The coils keep freezing up. They threw the chunks of ice in my sink. They just purchased something new last month. I am so aggravated at my mother and stepfather (I live with them). I wish she would divorce him and find someone else to buy her a new house or apartment that works properly.
