I have so many, but here are a few...

Princes in the Tower isn't unsolved, Richard had them killed, come at me

Oh, I totally agree. It's just impossible to prove and the Richard III society people are nuts.

Ocean disappearances in general stick in my mind, but this one write-up of this particular case has stayed with me...

I keep delving into the mental state of the crew during their final moments. What happened? What were they thinking? Why were they not thinking, if it came to that?

Wow, that was one hell of a mystery! Sheesh, that's gonna stay with me for a while!

Don't know if this counts but I still think Wayne Williams didn't kill any of those kids and the Atlanta cops were just in a hurry to arrest somebody.

There definitely wasn't just one killer (I don't believe the murderers were collaborating, just acting in the same time frame), but I think he was one of them.

I think he killed the two men he was convicted of killing. And likely at least a couple of the other adult victims. I do think that there probably was someone else out there killing the kids. The question, in that case, is: did the killer take the opportunity to move on or were they stopped another way (death, injury, incarceration on unrelated charges, etc.)?

Likely an avalanche. Not as exciting as military weapons or yetis.

I know that's a popular one, but I think it's really a combination of weather and hypothermia. Nothing more than that.

I read the book "Dead Mountain" about this, and thought the author had a convincing theory about what happened there.

The Zodiac Killer is the most famous.

A more local one is the murder of Brittany Phillips in Tulsa, OK.

The murder of Don Henry and Kevin Ives was handled by such idiots.

I think Jack the Ripper probably beats the Zodiac just because it's older.

Australia once lost a Prime Minister in the ocean. I've always thought it was a bit... fishy.

I had never even heard of the Voynich manuscript or the Hinterkaifeck murders before now. Fascinating reading and thank you for posting this!

Like, ones covered on the show? Because my parents were peripherally involved in a case covered on the original show; they were the last people to see a man who disappeared from a roadside. They weren't suspects and when I asked my mom she said they didn't kill him. There's pictures of toddler me with the guy, it's kind of weird.

...I realize she may have been lying, but I don't think so; other people who knew the guy and my parents and weren't friendly with any of them didn't think so either.

I wouldn't say they are favorites, because they mostly make me feel sad and bewildered by how many there are, but I once went down a wikipedia rabbit hole of people who have disappeared:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_who_disappeared_mysteriously:_post-1970

Here's a couple that caught my attention:

And, well, this one:

The Tamam Shud case wigs me out for no good reason. The real story probably was only mundanely scandalous/secretive but it still makes the hair rise on the back of my neck.

The one I was always obsessed with was the Bear Brook Murder/Allenstown Four, but thankfully and amazingly that was solved in 2017. There's an NPR podcast about it. Though nobody seems to mention that we still don't know what happened to Denise Beaudin.

Emma Fillipoff, Maura Murray, Brianna Maitland, and Phoenix Coldon are some disappearances that occasionally haunt me.

Couple of Japanese ones:
