It's kinda like the Hinterkaifeck murders.

The killer somehow entered the locked house, waited for the family and their guests to return and fall asleep, and then quietly murdered all 8 of them with an axe, while some of the victims were sleeping side-by-side. (Only one person had a defensive wound.)
