I think David gets a little bit friendlier writing, which figures since the actor is one of the showrunners. Not that I'd call anyone on this show "good."

Yeah, he definately got a friendlier edit at first, and Alexis transformation into someone not crazily narcisstic took a loooooong time. Weirdly enough, in the final season, when there was little for David to do, development-wise, and he revertted to being a huge diva, I enjoyed Alexis's parts more than his.
