It's very, very rare for me because the number of characters that I want to ship with anyone is so small. So to have even 3 of them in a single story - really unusual.

I'm someone with very few ships as well, and sometimes I feel frustrated by how easily most people seem to ship. Not because they're doing something wrong (they're not), but because I don't get it, and I feel at odds with most of fandom.

The number of people who ship multiple ships in almost every fictional text they consume always shocks me. I've shipped maybe thirty pairings in my entire life (I'm mid thirties), and I've only felt like reading fic for maybe a dozen.

Eh its an each to one's own kind of thing - like some people like to read just one kind of genre (is: horror, SciFi, non-fic, etc) and some like to read everything.
