I call myself a writer with an imagination.

An imagination that extends to putting my favorite characters with any other characters that I think they would have interesting dynamics with. I guess I try to see the characters I write as individuals who aren't just part of a couple, but ones that, like people, have different facets to explore and are affected by and often changed by their experiences. Also, I believe you can fall in love with and be in love with more that one person (either serially or simultaneously).

But you must hate television show writers because most characters I can think of have more than one relationship.

This. I think A has great dynamics with both B AND C, and I enjoy exploring both. A/B is a sweet, soft, supportive ship that is based on mutual respect and helping each other heal from similar traumatic experiences. A/C is all about pure physical attraction and using each other for their own ends and it's really hot because of that. Totally different dynamics, but I like them both because they both scratch different itches.

Comments like this are why I respect the OP, even if I don't completely agree. Multishippers are so fucking smug about it.

Multishipping is just... it's just a lot more chill than people who only like one pairing.

I don't have to be mad if my fave isn't canon, or they break up in canon, or some other ship gets popular. The urge to scream like an anti because My Ship isn't being shipped by some other shippers is non-existent.

It's just nice.

join usss...

You respect 'people who have THAT kind of fun are untrustworthy' from OP?

I guess whatever works for you buddy.

I mean, maybe it's because the other side is smug about how we're not good enough...

How about people just ship and let ship, because tastes vary, characters vary, and the way people enjoy engaging with the characters they love varies!

Wild concept, I know.
