I think it'd be fine to write it for my own interest, but no way in hell would I show it to the author unless they specifically solicited such a thing.

I was actually read to open my app just to jot things down before I considered how weird it might be, though really writing down my daydreams isn't any different than conjuring them up in the first place. But it's definitely a whole different matter to share such a thing for sure. I've been trying to weigh up the pros and cons, (hypothetically of course) but even if they're flattered by it, the awkwardness would definitely win out I think.
