I'd be flattered if someone was inspired by my work but this is a really subjective response. I would soooooo not recommend just doing this to a random author because you'll run into a wide range of reactions from pleased to OMG HOW DARE YOU.

ayrt

Yeah absolutely. The more I think about it, the more I realize just how badly it could go;; It kinda sucks, since the entire intention behind it is wholly just to show exactly just how much the fic inspired me. But I think the first anon who replied had a good point about the soliciting thing.
Like I'm terrible at reviews since I can never find a balance between- 1% default and boring, to 1,000% where I am basically nonsensical and screaming, all the way to 1,000,000% where I've basically torn my heart out and smeared it on the screen only for my tears to fall in time to paint the furious words of whats left of my soul. (like for instance as you can clearly see, I am at 1,000% right now;;)

What I'm (hypothetically, since I still can't write/finish things for shit) going to do is try to write my daydreamings out for myself as best I can, try and figure a way to make my blithering mess of words work together in a pleasant way. Just so I can remember just how much this fic made me feel, so maybe I can read it again and again, with my added extras to kinda relive that same feeling of amazement each time.

I'll mention in my review how much the fic affected me, had me stop for hours imagining just what happened after that scene and so fourth, how it impacted me that much that I had to write those daydreams down for myself, because I love this fic that much I'd never want to miss a second of their lives. (or something, and again hypothetically since writing isn't in the cards for me)
In that case the reverence is still there, but there's no awkward need to accept my offer of reading them, and certainly no reason to ask for them theirselves unless they actually wanted to see them.

(It's late, and I think my brain shut down halfway through reading this, so sorry if this makes no sense, and also sorry for the late reply! Time got away from me! <3)
