French fries are to be dipped in mayo. Nothing else. Because they're actually Belgian!

I'm not into dipping them in mayo, but sometimes I'll mix a bit of Tabasco into some mayo and dip my fries in that.

Just don't mix ketchup with mayo and call it Thousand Island dressing before you dip.

Mayo plus fried potato does nothing for me. Used to dip asparagus in mayo when I was young and didn't know better. Now most of my veggies remain bare, unless roasted/sauteed (light olive oil) or baked (butter for potato). If I'm feeling like it, I'll do butter plus salt/pepper but it's rare.

But fries I will always dip in ketchup (or have plain with salt and pepper), unless I'm having poutine.

Yick. I hate mayo, so that would be a strong no for me.
