there's absolutely no reason to put carrots and peas in fried rice. it does nothing to the flavor. i hate white onion, but i understand why people like them in there and i love the other types of onion and onion family. eggs are fucking wonderful. but what the absolute hell would you put peas in there? or carrots?

Yes on carrots in peas in rice. There are better veggies to add that actually have nice flavor.

I love all onions, though. I hated onions as a kid, and then something switched over at some point and they became my favorite thing ever. I could just eat a bunch of onion on its own.

Right? That's what kills me, the carrots don't even add anything earthy like a root vegetable should, and the peas are not it on texture.

I'm honestly just weird with onions, and it's clearly a texture thing because I can eat breaded and fried onions all day. but just have the little white squares just in something...no.
