Do you know many people in real life named "Bucky"? Just curious. It doesn't really sound "normal" to me in the sense that it's a contemporary, common name. I mean I recognize it's a name, but it definitely sounds rather old-timey, like having a character named "Scooter" or something.

I know people named Buck and Bucky wouldn't be far off. Maybe it is more of a Southern name?

Maybe that's it. I'm north of the Mason-Dixon line and don't know anyone named "Buck" or "Bucky" personally.

Yeah, Bucky seems completely normal to me. Then again, I knew a guy called Eddie-Bo (last name was Boulware) and a guy nicknamed Rooster.

Yeah, I'm up in Canada, and I don't think I've ever knowingly met someone whose name was Bucky, or who went by Bucky (or Buck for that matter).
