I don't want to get into it, if the creator of B5 let it drop then that’s good enough for me. It's just... i'm not sure those two things are equally weighted enough to describe it as 'getting their own back' lol.

Both of them definitely looked good with the goatee though. Sisko wins for me too, but mostly because he was my favourite trek captain.

I finally got around to watching this show and the movies. I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did. It's pretty awesome! I went in knowing all the twists and stuff because my friends would talk about it constantly back when it first came out, so I knew who was gonna lose their head and what the witches really were and all that. I was fully expecting to ship Homura/Madoka since my friends all ship them and everything I read about the show suggested that it had a lot of obvious yuri undertones and it totally does . . . but I can't ship them. Not romantically. I do believe Homura deeply loves Madoka and Madoka cares for her too, but even with all the yuri undertones and references, I just don't see it as romantic love. It really bothers me because I love shipping characters and I was so excited for Homura/Madoka, but there's nobody on this show I want to ship.

Yeah, the other day I was reading a fic and in one of the chapter notes the author complained about a few fics for that same ship that were written as AUs were the members of the ship are brothers (so incest, obviously).

The author was asking people to report those fics and there were a bunch of commentators agreeing to report them and complaining that it's so disgusting and that it's already bad enough that AO3 has default tags for underage and non-con but some people actually use them for porn instead of recovery stories or whatever. How AO3 should ban all of that content because it was making the site worse.

All of this happening right in the comment section of a fic published in AO3 and by people who have accounts in AO3.

There was one person bringing some sanity to the table and explaining that they could just omit the tags from their fic searches and that AO3 was not going to start banning content just like that and that reporting those fics would do absolutely nothing.

I swear I was this close to just writing an explicit X/Y incestuous AU with some other freaky kinks just out of spite (all properly tagged, of course) even though I'm not interested in smut for that ship and I really don't see the appeal of making them brothers.
