I don’t understand what’s going on. It sounds like from reading the other comments that people are using tags to hide fics somehow? Or prevent fics from coming up in searches? But I don’t really understand how that would even work. *confused*

People are posting a lot of fic to push the underaged fic off the front page faster. They're putting a special tag on their own fics to show that it's a movement. The tag itself doesn't have special powers.

DA - I don't particularly agree with these people, but I don't think what they're doing is objectionable. Unless the tag they're using is rude to the people whose fics they're attempting to "flood."

I guess if they're all posting a bunch of spammy, poorly written 106 word ficlets everyday, just to flush out the content they hate, that's pretty annoying. But if the stuff they're posting is legit and above the level of spam, then...good for them, I guess.

However, if they're doing other stuff that's actually harassment type stuff, then they should cut it out.

In the beginning, someone involved in the movement posted a story with additional tags that were calling out the authors, calling them pedos and wishing them to die. The tags were apparently later removed, so it doesn't look like anyone is being harassed.

I'd hoped I'd made it clear in the secret, but I guess I didn't -- I don't have a problem with the movement people posting their fic. It's a public site and anyone can post.

Fair.

You're secret is just kind of meandering and broad. It's a little difficult to know what the actual thrust of the secret is and what part to respond to.

I think I'm probably trying not to be too specific about the fandom itself. Depending on how young some of the fans actually are, maybe I'm trying to avoid doing anything else to make them further unsafe, while also acknowledging that the goal of their movement may not be realistic. I know it's ridiculous and you can't be fair to everyone (and sometimes you shouldn't).
