Oh no! The slowest of slow burns and they leave you hanging like that. I get that real life happens sometimes but I'd still be gutted if it were one of my OTPs and it was a *really* good in character fic too.

It was definitely a brutal disappointment. Although I kind of saw it coming. After I read up to the cut-off point, I checked the rest of the author's work, and the majority of their longer fics were abandoned WIPs.

I can't even say I wouldn't have read the fic if I knew. There are so few good long fics for my current OTP that I will voluntarily torture myself with abandoned WIPs if they're good. :/
