My biggest pet peeve for OCs isn't that they exist in fic or even that they sometimes take center stage.

It's when the canon has a very clear naming scheme/pattern/type and the OC's name is completely jarring for no good, plot-related reason. If your Naruto OC is named Heather or your white American Hogwarts transfer student is named Akane then I'm going to judge you so, so hard.

It's just so wrong.
