Narcissistic personality disorder is a whole lot different from being bipolar. Those are completely different classes of mental disorders, and the former usually doesn't mean the same level of loss of control of one's actions that bipolar disorder can cause.

Late to this but I think a lot of people (myself very much included) think Kanye West has NPD and also manic depression, and that his manic depression has become more severe and unmanageable over time. But I definitely don't think it's the only issue he's dealing with. NPD seems almost glaringly obvious from looking at how he conducts himself publicly.

Oh I think he has both NPD and bipolar/manic depression. Trump on the other hand just has NPD. That's just a personality disorder vs. manic depression which is a mental illness. Those are vastly different things, and I react very differently and far more sympathetically to Kanye.
