Yikes. You're reading into my comment a LOT. I'm not particularly pressed by Sess/Rin, but the comment that this was something that Takahashi was 100% setting up in the original series. I would say there was about an equal chance in a spin-off for Kohaku/Rin as Sess/Rin based on source material. (I also disagree that Sess/Kagura was one-sided, but agree that he wasn't in love with her.)

As for what Takahashi wants as pairings, I'm not saying she's against it. I, personally, think she's moved on from writing any more in that universe and she'd be fine with whatever as long as they don't mess with her canon. If they had come up with a compelling spin-off that had a Kohaku/Rin ship that made sense and was interesting, I think she'd sign off on that, too, but not a Sess/Kagura because that would mess up her canon. But that's just my opinion. I don't know her true heart and desire any more than you do.
