Yeeeaaaah...I'll admit I didn't catch the Rape of Nanking request the first time around. I did get the gist of the secret with the screencaps. I just happened to miss one. So I guess that makes me an idiot =/.

Not saying you're an idiot, just maybe you should read stuff a little more carefully before jumping on people like that.
Also, I think it's a good idea to treat people outside the fandom with the same respect and politeness you would treat people in the fandom, even if they are bashing. You come off as rather hostile in these comments, and it only reinforces negative stereotypes about the fandom. If you stay level-headed and explain why you disagree in a calm, mature way, it shows that those stereotypes aren't true.
Sorry for the TL;DR, and I don't mean to come off as patronizing or anything, but this fandom is so nice and friendly that I hate to see it misrepresented.

So why do you think I got upset in the first place? I get frustrated after seeing buckets of hate poured all over this series/fandom when it happens to be a great series with a wonderful fandom. And, not to be rude, but the tone I got from your comments kinda wrecks my outlook of the fandom.

I understand that. It upset me too. But do you see the difference between your reply and saying 'Hey, please don't judge all of us based on the messed-up kinks of a few people'?

Yes, I see the difference. However, I'm not going to quit being the person I am. I'm far more blunt and bitchy than most people when frustrated.

And maybe I'm just insane, but you're coming across as really condescending. =/.
