Even without getting into a debate over whether liking slash is immature or not, there is no requirement in life that you be completely mature 100% of the time. You're allowed to do fun silly stuff in your spare time once in a while. If you're old enough to be worrying about maturity, you're probably old enough to have the right to relax and be a little immature once in a while. Don't let self-consciousness keep you from something that makes you happy.
113. Aww. Don't let the Stop Having Fun Guys spoil things for you- those kinds of people aren't really worth much anyway. And stop telling yourself that you'll always be on your own. 143. Y'know, I don't care for G3s either and I think G2s are hideous abominations... but you don't get to dictate what counts as a "real MLP" or real fan. Just like with a media or game fandom, you can pick and choose your personal canon, but new canon is still new canon even when it sucks. The new ponies are just as official as the originals and people who enjoy them are still enjoying a genuine MLP product.
146. While it's true that species with radically different physiologies would generally find each other unattractive, that does not rule out the possibility of a few individuals being open-minded enough, in love enough, or just plain kinky enough to give it a try.

149. Does that mean people shouldn't write about murder mysteries or sword combat or historical events or anything else they don't have firsthand experience of, or does your rule only apply to sex? I've read perfectly good smut that you'd never guess was written by virgins because they actually bothered to do some research in order to not screw up horribly. Personal experience isn't the only way to avoid inaccuracies, and honestly, in some cases it isn't even the best way.
157. Y'know, I could totally see how someone, especially someone with no exposure to the show, could look at Aang and maybe think he looks white (or Japanese, if they think he's from an anime). The majority of the cast, not so much, but Aang's features are racially ambiguous enough IMO* that I could see where someone might draw that impression.
(*I am, however, faceblind/prosopagnosiac and am thus kind of impaired when it comes to recognizing things like race or even familiar faces, so I could very well be abnormal in this perception.)
That being said, I know the context this is coming from, and FUCK THAT SHIT.
Whoever was in charge of that casting needs to be kicked out of the movie business. What happened to Earthsea was bad enough, and that was just SciFi Channel dreck.

Even for people who do care, vanishing off the face of the net for a while isn't a big deal online unless they're used to you the kind of person who's present all the time regardless of circumstances. It's generally understood that things come up in real life, and that those things are usually given priority.
