According to Publishing News, Garth Nix is preparing to pitch a Sabriel film to studios in mid-2008 via Steve Fisher at APA. Nix is co-writing the screenplay with Dan Futterman, actor and Oscar-nominated screenwriter of Capote, and Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner at Plan B Entertainment will produce. The director will be Anand Tucker. Planning for the pitch was delayed by the writer's strike last fall, and resumed in February.[2]"
Dunno if they'll go ahead with it but if they do, it better be well-done. Like, awesome well-done. I've only known this series for a month, but it's one of the best I've ever read, and I don't want them to destroy it. D:
