I leave kudos if I feel the fic was around a 7/10 or better, according to my personal tastes.

I don't leave comments very often, but I'm trying to get better about it. I think ideally I would leave comments for fics that I felt were around an 8/10 or better.

Not gonna lie, there are definitely times I would love to show my disdain for a fic in some way. But I know that's not appropriate fandom behavior so I don't do it. The only time I showed my disdain for a fic was when the author deliberately tagged a very dark fic with misleading, fluffy tags, as a "prank." In that case, it wasn't the fic I expressed my disdain for, it was the author, for being a prick.
