The narrator, Ishmael, shares a bed with the token brown dude, Queequeg, and it is Very Very Homoerotic. Like there's touching and tender embraces and a bit about how it's like they're married now.
And they're sharing a bed because there was only one left at the inn.

...Huh. Moby Dick is certainly not a book I would have pegged for this trope.

Although mostly i'm glad it didn't involve the whale.
