Yeah, they are very deliberately not mentioning the whole 'Zodiark tempers its minions' thing.

Boo hoo tempering, sorry but he still chooses omnicide of millions of people when what Zodiark wanted was to... Stabilize the star--which he did. That was his explicit summoning purpose. They're the ones who decided to keep feeding the guys because they wanted things to go back to how things were.
