Finally being mainly a prequels fan is paying off. If I didn't actually know there were sequels, I wouldn't have been able to tell from my little corner of fandom either.

The funny thing is people were telling me I'd like the Last Jedi more in retrospect.

And they're right. It was better done than Rise of Skywalker. But I'd been hoping that the "it will be better once the last movie is out" would be more that the last movie would tie themes together and flesh out characterization than just the last movie being worse.
