I'd be all over this fandom if the slash wasn't canon. I shiped the hell out of a crusader knight and his frenemy in a fantasy book when I didn't even know about slash.
However I don't ship canon relationship. Way less space for speculation.

Are you kidding? There's, like...1000 years of space for speculation. We get bits and pieces of Joe and Nicky's relationship now, but there's a humongous blank space with only a few flashes of information to play with.

+100 I'm super interested in the actual enemies-to-lovers phase of their relationship and how long that lasted, and knowing the ending/present point doesn't change that.

Let me explain my point. I like to read about many versions of the same ship. Some a bit darker, some pretty domestic, different dinamics, etc. All those 'will they won't they'. Every time a ship becomes canon I lose interest.
It's just a preference. Calm your tits, people.
