I always shipped Bashir more with O'Brien, too! There was a fanfic author back in the day that I ADORED who wrote this pairing (and my favorite self-insert of all time, too) named Blue Champagne... damn, this secret has me all nostalgic and now I want to go find those lovely old fics and wallow in them a bit.
