If the series follows the manga, then next season should focus more on the murder. Ironically, the romance soap opera plot falls completely to the wayside and hasn't been a focal point even to this day as the manga is approaching completion. Legosi and Haru have barely interacted and were it not for Legosi's thinking about her every other chapter you'd almost forget she exists.
