I’m conflicted here. I didn’t like the anime adaptation that much, but I do really like the manga, which I read well over half a year beforehand.

I wish they’d had more episodes to mainly flesh out the fact A STUDENT WAS MURDERED IN EPISODE 1, and then they just stop talking about it after episode 2 lol

I've been rewatching ER too! And while slash isn't generally my thing, I can certainly see it between them, especially in the first couple of seasons (currently in the middle of s4)

I haven't seen this, but in a general sense I agree. Like, when men in historical fiction actively pursue women, and then we're supposed to see them as good men, I'm like, "Really though?" Like, he has way, way, way more societal power than her, and he knows damn well that if she gets with him it could easily ruin her entire life, but he's still gonna do it? Yeah, real good guy.

If she starts things, that's one thing. But if he pursues her (even if she does return his feelings and want the same things he does) that's just shitty.
