Where's the fandom rulebook that declares that?

Besides, how can you leave srs issues at the door when plenty of media that is the basis of some fandoms goes out of its way to DEAL with said issues - or when it goes the other way and furthers them?

Media doesn't have to be purely escapism - yeah, that's a part of it, but it's not everything.

I don't really see how or why it would be "revenge" when every character in there is presented as being extremely likeable. Excluding maybe France and maaaybe Russia, and even they are shown to be occasionally good and sympathetic people. (... Except maybe Russia uh I JUST CAN'T QUITE EXPLAIN. RUSSIA. B|) Have you actually looked at the series or are you basing your opinions on things you've heard/seen about it?
