I think the point was that he became a villian because he was shafted, so, yeah. Still so very sad. D=

I know. I mean, it's partially his own fault for being so susceptible to it, but I couldn't really find it in my heart to hate on him as much as I hated on, say, Kuja or whatever.

I couldn't find it in myself to hate on Kuja, either. I mean, the fear of death and not knowing what comes after is a very human emotion that's easy to understand and identify with, though his methods of dealing with it were unacceptable and extreme. How much of that was because of his creation and upbringing/conditioning by Garland is up for debate, though.

Now, as far as FFvillians go, Marquis Elmdor from Tactics. Now that was a villian I could pile the hate on, fer srsly.
