136. You're not a worse person. D: Those things can be incredibly sobering and moving. And liking a certain kind of thing in fiction doesn't change who you are, and doesn't affect your real-world values.
139. ... dude wtf. You're making an issue over the band's name? What the hell, really, someone explain how this could ever be a big deal to me.
140. Do. It. Aeryn is such a freaking pretty name. I'm sure you immediately got some nay-sayers, but seriously, do it. Hell, if I can be named after a freaking Anna Karenina character and one of my friends can be named after her mother's favorite soap opera actress, people need to stop making a big deal over people naming their children after the "wrong" things.
Also, to reiterate, AERYN IS AN AWESOME NAME. So. Much approval here. :|b

154. I can understand this a little, but maybe it's also the fact that people are sick and tired of the calls of SEXIST SEXIST SEXIST!!!! Because sorry, if someone loves a crapton of assorted female characters, and they do not like one female character, odds are good it's not because she's female. It's not too hard to figure out if someone dislikes a character because of sexist reasons if you look at their explanation, rather than assuming that because they protest they're automatically guilty.

Dude you need to watch Evangelion again, and play the game again, and figure out those two characters a lot better before you come out with the vitriol, please. Joshua is nothing like Kaworu, SERIOUSLY AT ALL, Kaworu is a lot more likeable, Joshua is supposed to be "smug, arrogant, annoying, bratty, [and] know-it-all" IN CANON, and he's still not the bad guy of the game or a huge traitor (besides the, uh, obvious). You're not obligated to like him, but sheesh, at least have a grasp of his character a little bit before judging.

And it has less to do with the secret poster than it does someone else I heard talking about books like they're more important than human beings' feelings. I'M SORRY OP I GET THE WHOLE CHILDHOOD LOVE THING BUT. Aughhh.
161. I wouldn't kill you and I don't see why anyone else would. I totally love them as a pairing and as a platonic OTP for eternity, but yeah, the first time I read the book I just. Got sucked into it and wasn't shipping anything but Newt and Anathema (because the story kinda made me). XD IT'S JUST THAT GOOD, TRUE FACTS.

(Anonymous) 2008-12-17 03:03 pm (UTC)(link)Just because he's supposed to be that way does not mean he's any more tolerable. He's annoying, full stop, and just because it's intentional doesn't invalidate that he gets on my nerves and his fans think he's the greatest thing ever.
And way to blow an off-hand comment way out of proportion, luv. ;D I love how hating a character and comparing him to another means I obviously have OMG NO GRASP of his characterization.
