That's a really good point!

I think what I had in mind is a society that might look to the outside observer, or even to the reader, like it was totally dysfunctional, but that actually functioned really adequately and provided for the needs of its citizens. Not a utopian society that outsiders are prevented from seeing, like Wakanda, but a utopian society that outsiders don't recognize is utopian, even though they can see it.
